Yin Yoga is passive, very cooling and meditative. It focuses on the connective tissues such as the tendons, the deep fascia and ligaments also known as the ‘yin tissues’. This helps us cultivate a greater sense of awareness and relaxation. In Yin Yoga, poses are held from 3-5 mins which deepens the stretch creating a state of bliss. This is a great practice to help calm the nervous system and aid in getting a good night's sleep. The practice is followed by a short practice of meditation to calm and relax the mind as we turn our attention inwards. Suitable for all levels.
